Your candidate for Putnam County School Superintendant

PAMELA H. BROWN

I am Pamela Henderson Brown and I am aspiring to become the next Superintendent of the Putnam County School District. I was educated in the Putnam County School District, graduating in the Class of 1988 at Palatka High School. I am a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University - Bachelor of Science Degree in Exceptional Student Education with an emphasis on Specific Learning Disabilities and graduate of Argosy University - Master of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling. I am certified by the State of Florida in Exceptional Student Education, Guidance and Counseling, and Educational Leadership.

I spent 27 years in the field of education, as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher in elementary and middle school in Florida and Georgia, Headmaster/Principal, Guidance Counselor, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, School Improvement Specialist, Graduation Coach, Jobs for Florida’s Graduates (JFG) Site Supervisor and currently as a District Graduation Coordinator.

I have worked with various community based organizations in the area of community services. I have received extensive professional development from the Principal Effectiveness Program, Coach to Lead – NEFEC, Aspiring Leaders – PCSD, 8-Step Planning and Problem Solving Process-SIP, Fierce Conversations, JFG Site Supervisor, Get Focused, Stay Focused and Advancement Via Individualized Determination (AVID).
